You cannot visit Seattle and not visit, Seattle’s famous Pike market. Bustling with people, cute street stalls, fresh produce of fruits, vegetable, flowers, jams, bread and honey and so much more. Here are 5 things that you can witness and do for free at the Pike Market ( A complete zero hole in your wallets, haha)
- Check out the Gum Wall. Yes, there’s a wall covered with everyone’s fresh gum out of their mouth. In all honesty, the wall is the perfect backdrop for a picture, because it is so colorful and super Instagram worthy. ( Let me warn you in advance if you start reaking of gum after a walk through the street)

- Watch cheese being made at Beecher’s – I thought it was the most gratifying feeling to watch the cheese being churned as I perched my nose up against the glass, like everyone else on the street. Satisfy that inner cheese lover in you.
- Take a photo with the first ever “Starbucks” – In the original logo, the brazen mermaid was considered a little too titillating for general consumption in the 1970s so she was replaced with a more demure version. There is a long queue to enter, so be prepared and restore that patience.
- Street performers – There is a different vibe watching piano players, live statues, violin players hold a crowd together and stunning them with their talents.
- Hunt down those pigs – Did you know, the pike market is so famous for these pigs – they are everywhere! On rooftops, on the sidewalk, just everywhere. The most famous pig, Rachel, is underneath the main sign for the market.
