No voucher, no booking, no app hoops. You walk in, you ask for the AED 10 dish, you pay less than most parking sessions. I have spent years finding food in this city that costs less than the taxi ride to reach it, so a city-wide deal at karak-adjacent prices gets my full attention.
Here is how it works, every confirmed dish so far, and how I would turn it into a very cheap, very air-conditioned food crawl.
How the AED 10 dish deal works
The Dh10 Dish campaign is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment as part of DSS, and it runs until August 30. Each participating spot puts one specific item on for AED 10. Malls, food halls, cafes and neighbourhood spots are all in, everything from Cevapi Bosnian Restaurant and Karachi Darbar to the biggest chains.
The full list lives on District by Zomato, the campaign’s official listing partner. The app shows you the AED 10 offer nearest to where you are standing, which in this heat is the only feature that matters. You can also browse everything on mydss.ae.
Two small warnings. It is one set dish per venue, not a discount on the whole menu. And not every branch of a chain takes part, so check District before crossing town.
The savoury list: every confirmed dish so far
- Bikanervala: Dahi Puri (V). The best value on this entire list. Cold, crunchy, chaotic.
- LDC Kitchen & Coffee: Quinoa and Falafel Bowl (V). A proper bowl for AED 10 feels like a pricing error. It is not. Enjoy it.
- Mamma Italia: Margherita (V), Pollo Picante or Diavola pizza. A ten dirham Margherita is the order.
- The Daily at Rove Hotels: Rove Poke Bowl.
- The Noodle House: Chicken Siew Mai.
- Sumo Sushi & Bento: Cheese Rolls and Mix Gyoza.
- Shanghai Kitchen: Steamed Momos, served with an iced tea.
- Hangry Joe’s: three piece chicken wings.
- Oporto: Bondi Burger.
- Texas Chicken: Mega Bite.
- Matter by iCoffee: Pesto Tuna Confit Sandwich.
- Shake Shack: New York Plain Hot Dog. I will be honest, a plain hot dog is the least interesting AED 10 in the campaign. Spend the tenner at Bikanervala twice.
Feka, Mumbai Junction and Kailash Parbat are confirmed on the savoury list too. Their exact dishes are on District.
The sweet and coffee list (V)
- Cafe Barbera: two scoops of Italian gelato.
- House of Pops: a real-fruit ice pop. The one to eat on the walk between metro exits.
- Seoul Street Cafe: mango or matcha bingsoo, for anyone losing the argument with August.
- Gelato Divino: classico cup with two toppings.
- Cold Stone Creamery: Birthday Cake Remix.
- Filli Cafe: Coco Melon Bubble Tea.
- Dunkin’: signature iced coffee plus a donut.
- Matter by iCoffee: cappuccino and banana loaf cake. A whole coffee break for the price of the tip elsewhere.
- Pret A Manger: Americano with a Pastel de Nata. My pick of the coffee combos.
- Costa Coffee: Americano with a Chocolate Swirl pastry.
Baskin Robbins and Caribou Coffee are also in on the sweet side, with their items listed on District.
How I would run it
Pick one mall and stay inside it. This is an August deal, and DSS knows exactly what it is doing: the whole thing is built around air conditioning.
My route: Dahi Puri at Bikanervala to start, the LDC bowl as the main, gelato at Cafe Barbera, then the Pret Americano and Pastel de Nata as the slow finish. Four stops, AED 40, zero minutes outdoors. The UAE weekend is Saturday and Sunday, and Saturday lunch is when I would go, before the evening crowds arrive.
