65+ flavours, 100% veg, made from pure milk. The malai and pista are the ones to get. Karama institution, and the falooda’s worth a look too if you’ve got a couple of dirhams more.
Kulfilicious — Royal Exotic gola (AED 8.5)
Kulfi-only concept with the cycles-and-carts hometown decor. The Royal Exotic gola comes in kala khatta, rose, mango and more. Branches in Karama, Barsha, Deira and Nahda.
Old Mumbai Ice Cream — Chikoo ice cream (under AED 10)
The chikoo (sapota) ice cream is ridiculously good — proper Bombay-style, not too sweet. Al Karama dessert parlour. On my list to shoot properly, but the chikoo alone is worth the trip.
Wendy’s — Triple Chocolate Nut Frosty (from AED 8)
Not glamorous, but the small triple chocolate nut frosty is AED 8 of reliable cold chocolate at basically every mall. The one on this list you can grab without planning.
Falooda & cold treats
Tasty Dine — Matka Falooda (AED 10)
The viral AED 10 matka falooda in Meena Bazaar, Bur Dubai — loaded with ice cream, kulfi and jelly in a clay pot. Went properly viral in 2025 and still holds up.
Juice World — Fruit dessert glass (AED 9.50)
One of Dubai’s historic eateries in Al Rigga, 200+ juice and fruit combinations. A small glass of something like guava-chocolate is AED 9.50 and honestly a full dessert on its own.
TruFrut — Fresh-fruit cup (~AED 9)
Real fruit in a cup — sitafal, chickoo, watermelon, coconut, dates, whatever’s in season. Karama. The antidote to a week of chocolate everything.

Al Mallah — Luqaimat (~AED 8)
The famous Satwa spot on 2nd December Street. You’re there for the shawarma, but the luqaimat closes it out for under a tenner. Open till late.
B.Laban — Rice pudding / qashtota (from AED 8)
The viral Egyptian dessert chain. Skip the AED 30 choco-burgers — the rice pudding and small qashtota start around AED 8 and are the actual heart of the menu. Branches everywhere.

Occasions — Rasmalai pastry (AED 7)
The one that started the desi-dessert-makeover trend — rasmalai reimagined as a pastry, AED 7. Also do gulab jamun cheesecake and baklava rabdi if you want to go deeper.

Japanese boutique bakery beside Al Ghurair Centre, always restocking. The Ferrero cruffin at AED 9 is the sweet steal in a case full of pretty (pricier) things.

Guinness record holders (tallest cupcake tower) and still the go-to for a cupcake craving in Karama. Ferrero rocher, red velvet, maltesers, flake, nutella — molten centre, AED 10. Eggless options too.
Zaatar w Zeit — Tiramisu (AED 8), via direct order
Sleeper hack: order on the Zaatar w Zeit app or website and their desserts come in way under café prices — Ktiramisu AED 8, strawberry cheesecake AED 9, strawberry jello AED 6. The chocolate mousse is the one I keep going back for. Note these prices are direct-order; dine-in can run higher.
