Valentine’s in Dubai on a budget – A complete guide

Valentine’s day can be a great chance to reconnect with your loved one. But you don’t have to break the bank for it. Albeit, diamonds and chocolates are a girl’s best friend, it’s possible for you to spend Valentine’s without having to splurge. So here are some things to do on valentine’s in Dubai on a budget

Give this article a read – your wallet and loved one will thank you.

  1. Love Lake

It is the season of love. How can one miss out on this. Camp overnight at Qudra and have a sunrise photo shoot by the love lake. I haven’t gotten to the best part yet! It’s free for all to visit. They say there are sign boards to the lake. P.s- make sure you’ve got the documents for the drone (if you’re taking one, that is).

    2. Al Sufouh Beach

What’s a valentine’s in Dubai on budget without visiting the beach? A.k.a The secret beach. So not a lotta people know about it, probably that’s where it gets it’s name from. It’s free to visit and free to take a swim in. Like they say, life is a beach and so are some people, so make the most of your secret getaway at this secret beach.

    3. Dubai Fountain Boardwalk

Did you know that it costs only Aed 25 per person! This one’s perfect for the romantic ones. The ones who like their love to be as cheesy as pizza. Step on board a unique viewing platform and get up close to the largest performing fountains in the world! Have your own photoshoot without burning a hole in your pocket.

    4. Etihad Museum

This one’s for the history lovers, especially if you are spending valentine’s in Dubai on a budget. Yes, these couples exist too! For as little AED 25 per person (and Aed 10 if you’re under 24 years of age) you get to explore the story of the Union, and probably have your own little story about your union 😉

    5. Tee & Putt Mini Golf

They’ve got a branch in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. An 18 hole mini golf course with a glow in the dark theme, this is the perfect spot for a couple. In fact a lotta couples’ have date nights here. If you’re an Emirates employee or got the traveler app, you save up on the regular AED 50/ person cost.

    6. Jebel Jais Ice Rink

This one’s the coolest of them all! I mean literally. While the Dubai weather can be unpredictable, get your fair of share of the cold, here at the ice rink. Perched 1300 meters above ground level, enjoy stunning views of the Hajar Mountains, pose like they do in Bollywood or sing songs that’ll give you the feel of being in the Switzerland snow! The newest spot in town and definitely worth spending with your Valentine. Priced at Aed 45/ person

    7. VR Park

Break free from reality and step into a virtual reality zone. For Aed 180 (shareable pass) bring out the adventure junkie in each other by challenging each other at various games. This one’s definitely worth the experience!

    8.Stray Dogs Center

This one’s for the dog lovers. Break the stereotype of Valentine’s day and go volunteer this dog shelter. Here you can take the dogs for a walk, feed them and play with them too.  Best Valentine’s in Dubai on a budget? Find out more on them here

    10. Coffee Museum Dubai

Satisfy the coffee connoisseur in you by visiting this museum . It’s free to enter, but make sure you grab yourself a cuppa before you leave.

    11. Al Serkal Avenue

The art lovers should go check out the art at Al Serial Avenue. Not only is it free to visit, but you can also pop in and pop out of every stall as and when you like.

    12. Mirzam Chocolate Makers

Catch them at D3. A variety of chocolates to taste (and buy). They’re also wrapped in a cute packaging for sale, making them the perfect gift for your Valentine. After all, chocolate doesn’t ask silly questions, it understands. Chocolate and a combination of spending Valentine’s in Dubai on a budget!

    13. Movie Under the Stars

They are playing Nicholas Sparks’ famed novel turned film The Lucky One on February 12. It’s a great way to take advantage of the last few days of “winter”, under the stars, of course.
